The player competes with three other contestants, who appear to accumulate scores along with the player during the drift session. Drift mode consists of one player in a short loop track, where the objective is to collect as many points as possible by drifting along the track. These races are typically shorter than "circuits" (with a maximum of 8 km in length), so players are required to be more cautious of any mistakes during racing, such as crashing into barriers or vehicles.ĭrifting is the most challenging and technical aspect of the game. Sprint mode is a variation on the Circuit mode, where the contestants race in a point-to-point track instead of loop tracks. In the case of Underground, Knockout sessions have a maximum of three laps for four racers. Knockout Mode is similar to previous Need for Speed titles, and involves "knocking out" the last racer who passes the starting line in each lap until the final leader of the race remains, and wins the race. For about the last 4 races of underground mode, the number of players decreases to only 1 rival, and the number of laps reach up to seven (endurance race). ![]() ![]() Underground was commercially successful, and was followed by Need for Speed: Underground 2 in 2004.Ĭircuit is a standard race that involves racing with up to three opponents' cars around a loop track for one lap or more, and is the main mode of the game. Rather than exotic cars, Underground featured vehicles associated with the import scene. All races take place in a generic city at night called Olympic City, though the city bears some resemblance to New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles. It was the first game in the series to offer a career mode featuring a storyline, and a garage mode that allowed players to fully customize their cars with a large variety of brand-name performance and visual upgrades. Underground rebooted the franchise, ignoring the previous Need for Speed games which featured sports cars and exotics. Two different games were produced, one for consoles and Windows, and the other for the Game Boy Advance. You're sent to a new city where rival drivers are trying to take you off of the streets, which is why you have to prove yourself in every race that you run.Need for Speed: Underground is the seventh installment in the Need for Speed series, and was developed by EA Black Box and published by Electronic Arts in 2003. There is a story that is a part of the career if you pay attention. While this feature has always been in the game, the graphics have been updated, giving a better scene while you're behind the wheel of the car. The music in the game has been upgraded, and you can drive from a first-person point of view. There are more paint colors and schemes to choose from as well as different rim colors. There is a bit of everything in the way of modifications with the game, such as spoilers, rims, cold air intake systems, and components to make the car faster.Īnother plus in the game is that there are more designs to choose from if you want to change the look of the car. You also win money that can be used to perform numerous modifications to your car. Once you start winning races, you earn respect points from the other drivers. You won't have a lot of money to work with at first, but it's enough to do a few modifications to get some speed in order to win a few races. ![]() Starting in the garage, you can select a car that you like from multiple tuners that include the Honda Accord and Toyota Celica. With more cars to choose from, the game is a little more fun to play. Need for Speed Underground 2 is an extension of the original game. Need for Speed: Underground 2 is currently available on these platforms: Windows (2004) NeedforSpeedUnderground2WinSetupEN.zip (1.06GB) How to play on Windows (NFSUnderground2v102WinSetupEN.rar). We might have the game available for more than one platform. Live and be imbued by the tuning culture. Need for Speed is one of the most successful racing sagas, and many titles have appeared for this game, as is the case of Need for Speed Underground 2 that you can download to live the full speed experience. Race against other cars on various circuits in the city.

undead casters were considered trash alltogether, today ppl agree on banshees actually being one of the strongest utility casters.įrostwyrms on the other hand had their time in pro play vs elf, so they got used, and got replaced because they are not worth it. frenzy is very good, raise dead is pretty good too, if you can overwhelm the enemy dispel. Necros are sleeper units, considered “trash” since the beginning of wc3. ![]() Now, theres a difference in necros vs wyrms. I dont like it neither, but destroyers completely replaced frostwyrms. Wyrms need to have a shorter tech path, higher attack range, some numbers shifted around and a dispel rework for undead. In the end, frostwyrms absolutely need destroyers, and at this point you can just mass destroyers, since they are cheaper, have not so much worse dps due to orb of annihilation + attack speed, are magic immune, dont take over a minute to build and dont eat up so much supply and tech cost - and you need them any way, because they’re your only source of dispel. at this point you could just not waste resources on wyrms and win the game with a regular army. To make frostwyrms a truly strong unit you need to support them with units that counter their weaknesses, like a full ground army with buff units and dispel units. ![]() They have too much hard counters, have low range, are vulnerable to cheap units, get hard countered by any spellcaster or ranged magic immune units, do low splash damage, have a low attack speed and give a TON of xp if killed. they are a fashion accessory for when you’re winning the game anyway with a massive resource lead. Unlike Goblet of Fire, we get to spend much more time at Hogwarts as well as getting a look at a few new sets outside the campus. It's a complicated character to like, but it fits in with the tone of the movie in a strangely satisfying way.Īnother strongpoint in The Order of the Phoenix is the impressive set design. Umbridge is easily one the easiest characters to hate in the series, but I can't picture anyone else bringing more to the role than Imelda Staunton did. This all isn't taken too well from the newly appointed Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Dolores Umbridge. It's probably the first time in the series' history where Harry willingly takes on a leadership role in order to get ahead of Voldemort's plans. Alas, Harry starts "Dumbledore's Army" with the help of Ron, Hermione, Fred, George, Neville, Cho, and the new cast member, Luna Lovegood among others. We've seen plenty of great adventures from the main trio thus far, so I guess it was about time the team expands a bit. ![]() But Dementors are only the beginning to what is probably Harry's most difficult task in the series to that point, defeating the dark lord and his "army" he's been recruiting. It's another truly eerie opening as the dementors nearly killed Harry and Dudley. Harry faces a difficult case against him at the ministry after it's revealed to them that Harry used magic in the presence of muggles. The ministry refuses to believe that that the dark lord has returned, while Harry and a select few at Hogwarts are truly preparing for what's to come. After the horrific events at the end of Goblet of Fire, Hogwarts, its students, and the rest of the Wizarding World are at a split feeling surrounding the reemergence of Lord Voldemort. That journey is perhaps most drastic in Order of the Phoenix. I didn't read the books, so I can't specifically comment on the quality of the adaptation, but I do know that Order of the Phoenix is one damn good film.Īs much as I love the inevitable singular adventures each film in the Harry Potter series brings, I think Harry's emotional journey in each film is equally as intriguing. I'm sure it's difficult for any filmmaker to adapt a beloved novel, but David Yates had an extraordinary task attempting to cut down the longest Potter novel into what happens to be, the second shortest film in the series.
